This is Elder Arias. He is standing next to the tub that should have water in it to heat for the baptism today but no one has a key to disconnect the hose from the gas tank so that a new one can be connected. Then the water could be heated to help take the chill off the water.
This is Elder Knapp and Elder Arias standing next to the cement baptismal font in Anahuac. It's very small but sufficient. It's all about the experience and making sure they can actually get all the way under the water.
These are the sweet R.S. sisters who were there to witness the baptism but they're still in the process of cleaning the church for the meetings the next day. This little House of Prayer only has a cement floor because it's a rented space but they have a packed chapel every week so hopefully in the near future their circumstance can change. They just continue to mop that rugged cement floor and wipe down benches. They are wonderful people.
This is Felix who is about the brave the cold water for his baptism. The weather changed for a few days and it got pretty cold but he was still determined to have this ordinance performed today.
And this is how you get in and out of the font. This was an unforgettable experience for us.

I cannot believe that that is the font!! And a chair? Oh that's awesome! It just goes to show that it isn't about the location, just the ordinance. Ha!
