Today we decided to travel to Ebano to attend their meetings. It's only about 1 1/2 hours from Tampico. On the way we encountered a slight road block but at least they had a red flag to warn us.

The Ebano building is a "House of Prayer" instead of a regular chapel. They are a branch of the church here that Dad is responsible for along with the District it belongs to. This is a picture taken of the kitchen looking into the place where they hold Young Women's.

The other side of the kitchen. Out the door behind me is the "yard". And in a smaller building next door they hold Primary.

These are some of mis hermanas in the Sociedad de Socorro. A couple of others were teaching YW and Primary. It's a very small branch but we have two missionaries here.

They are Elder Ruiz from Orem, UT (who is a definite Utah fan) and Elder Contreras from Juarez, Chihuahua, Mexico who we love dearly. He has never know who his father is and hopes that his mother is still active in the church. His only sibling lives with a guy and I'm not sure if she's a member. He goes home in the middle of October.

We had great meetings with these wonderful people and Dad met for several hours with the leadership of the District and the Branch. Then back on the road, we thought you might enjoy the 'boot store'. The sign says they are hand made. It was just something a little different we thought we'd share. When you live away it's very easy to find things that are different.

I think I see a pair of boots there I might want! That's a crack up. Those belts look like they are 4 inches wide. Do they have extra big belt loops in Mexico?
those cows remind me of the sheep in New Zealand. And they aren't in any hurry to get out of your way either.
