Today we had a wonderful surprise. Two of the missionaries that had returned home to Mexico, came to Tampico for a Young Single Adult conference at the Institute. This is Elder Perez. He is one of the many valient and the very happy missionaries. He was always smiling and giving service while he served. He trained a couple of our good elders and Dad called one of the elders he trained (Elder Strickland) on his cell phone and let Elder Perez talk with him. What a great, happy conversation they had. He also brought us a pottery water pitcher that apparently keeps water very cool. We hope to see more of him during our time here and after. He lives in Jalisco.

He bought this in Jalisco to bring as a present to us. It will be a treasure. Doesn't it look nice next to Joseph and Hyrum?

Later in the day we attended a baptism of a family. Familia Muñez - a dad and mom and their two sons. Their daughter is 6. They were so appreciative of these two elders that taught them and said to me, "what would we have done if they would not have found us?" Those 2 elders (Elder Castillo from Puebla and Elder Lewis from Eden, UT) were walking on air. It was a blessing to witness this ordinance. We hope they make it to the temple in a year. What a wonderful thing to watch the process continue.
