September Consilio. Is it really time for that again????

You can't see them all but there are 20 pair of shoes here.  They don't all look great but there belong to some of the great warriors here in the mission.  I know this is a lot of pictures of them but we love them all and want to remember everyone of their faces.  They are great leaders and humble young men.

Of course, we start with waffles....

oh, they're so happy with real milk that doesn't come in a box from the shelf, waffles....

and all the peanut butter and syrup they can handle.

Believe me.  In between the waffles and the baked potato bar there was a meeting with the zone leaders.  It was a great meeting today with many ideas shared and a lot accomplished.  We love their participation.  They have wonderful inspiration.

We've never done a potato bar.  Their potatoes are different here.  No russsets.  Just thin skinned potatoes that when you cook and mash them they quickly turn in to gruel if you're not careful.

But I put oil on them and stuck them in the oven and they were a hit.  Some of the Mexicans had never had a baked potato and especially not one that you top with all this stuff.

Elder Peterson, on the left, is our new assistant.  He is an amazing young man and well respected by the others.  We know he will be a great asset to the work.  He has lived in Latin American for much of his life as his father has worked for the church and was a mission president in Uruguay until about a year ago.

We often invite Rosario to sit with us after she has helped with so many things.  The missionaries are very kind to her.  She feeds the 4 missionaries that serve in her ward about once a month.

Front row: Elder Rindlisbacher, Elder Porter, Elder Gonzalez, Elder Salazar, Elder Young.
Middle row: Elder Larsen, Elder Romero, Elder Okelberry, Elder Lindao, Elder Soto, Elder De la Fuente.
Back row: Elder Fletcher, Elder Esparza, Elder Rodriguez, Elder Peterson, Elder Townsend, Elder Newton, Elder Jensen, Elder Lopez, Elder Del Rio.

There is no explanation that can be made for this one.  We sure love them all.
