Sunday in Panuco

David and Nancy (to my left) and their two beautiful little girls have adopted us into their family.  The individual to the left of dad is David's brother.  We met them all about 3 weeks ago.  They were being taught by the missionaries in Panuco and we were invited to come to their home to meet them.  It was obvious that they loved each other and adored their girls. In the last 10 days the husband and wife have found out things about each other that could have destroyed most relationships but we have seen the power of the Atonement in a most magnificent and powerful way.  Dad has been on the phone with them late into the night at times.  Satan has done just about all he could do to destroy them in a very real way but here they are today at church.  Happy and in love and excited about their baptismal date of next Saturday.  A week ago we wondered if they would even stay together and 3 days later we were back in their home where the light had returned to their eyes and they were holding hands tightly.  The two little girls call us "Grandma and Grandpa" - and we love it.  We can't wait to watch them walk into the waters of baptism.  All three adults will be getting baptized.

By the way, the brother to Dad's left came to church in a nice blue dress shirt.  Elder Ochoa had told him that he would bring both of them ties for Sunday and a white shirt for the brother since he didn't have one.  When he went into Sunday School the brother immediately went into the bathroom to change into his white shirt and put on his tie as did David.  They are so excited about the gospel.

 This little member family came to Panuco from Rancho Chico today on the motorcycle.  It doesn't sound too bad unless you realize that it's an hour and a half  by car and of course longer by motorcycle.  The little baby is just two months old.  He was somehow sound asleep.

Here's sweet Jacqueline again.  She just has this light and love about her that is unmistakable.  How will we ever be able to leave these people??
