On our way out of Tuxpan we stopped for gas. There are carniceria's (butcher store) everywhere in Mexico but we've never taken a picture. This is a small one. The butcher is inside cutting up meat. The U.S.D.A. would hardly approve but this is the norm.

We stopped our car at this truck on the road with a man selling strawberries.

They were 20 pesos for a kilo of smaller ones and 25 pesos for the very large ones. We bought a kilo and came home for smoothies. First, though, they were soaked and washed in a bleach solution and then rinsed. They were delicious.

I bet a smoothie tasted soooo good after being in all that hot sun. I don't pity you at all. P.S. Where's your tan? Kidding.
