Sweet Ashley

This is Ashley.  She is the daughter of our nephew, Michael.  She sent us a special letter from her class at school wanting to learn about a place far away.   She made a picture of herself and sent it to Mexico to experience some of our mission with us in a foreign country.

So almost everywhere we went we took Ashley with us.  We attended a baptism of a wonderful woman whose name is Haarlem.  She thought it was fun to hold Ashley and take a picture.
We had a meeting with a stake president in Mante on another day and afterward we asked the elders there if they would like to help us with Ashley.  They are used to me taking many pictures.

We HAD to take Ashley to the beach.  Everyone who has visited us went to the beach.  It was a great day and though we couldn't stay long we took some nice, long, therapeutic breaths and watched the waves roll in.  Thanks Ashley.

She also went with us to the little tiange at the beach to do some shopping.  We figured she would like the wooden crocodiles and jewelry.  There's always something interesting to see there.
One day we had interviews with missionaries in Victoria.  After a long morning, we went to McDonald's for a quick unhealthy lunch before driving to the next city.  We met 4 missionaries who had just left the interviews and were having a special lunch before catching their buses or taxis to return to their area.  There are only about 3 McDonald's in the mission.  So for them it's a great treat.  This is Elder Mesa, Elder Austin, Elder Gonzalez, and Elder Salazar.
We haven't posted all the pictures of Ashley's visit but we thought it was very thoughtful of her to consider us for a trip.  Thanks, Ashley and as soon as someone leaves to come back to the United States, we will send you back home.
