Baptisms and more

This afternoon we had the privilege to attend a baptism in the Jardin ward.  These two women, Argelia Peláez and Gabriela Cervantes, stood and shared their testimonies after their baptisms and also how they were found and what they were going through at the time.  One is pregnant with her 3rd child and is single and begging for goodness in her life.  She just found it.  We know that there are many people who have been prepared and continue to be prepared for our missionaries to teach and baptize them.  They sometimes ask for missionaries and baptism and the blessings of the gospel.  The missionaries continue to see the hand of the Lord in their lives in this wonderful work.  It inspires and motivates them onward.

The following morning, very early, we left for Tantoyuca to attend their meetings for the day.  Dad has responsibility over the districts and branches and this branch needs some special help.  This is one of the common sites you might see on the streets where the branches are: someone selling handmade brooms, umbrellas, or a myriad of other things.  The streets are a busy place of commerce every day of the week.

This is Claugia Gisael Ponce Antonio and Juana Yatziri Ponce Antonio.  They are members of the Tantoyuca branch and always have a hug for me when we arrive there.  They are part of the hope of the church in Tantoyuca.  We will have a hard time sharing our last hug together.
