Wet Huejutla

Yesterday we left early in the morning for interviews in the Huasteca Zone.  First stop, Tempoal. Then on to Tantoyuca.  Then to Huejutla.  While there we got surprised by a major downpour.  One other time when we were in Huejutla we saw a storm like this.  Too bad the video and the picture don't tell the whole story.  The two elders that run into the building at the end,Elder Okelberry and Elder Olvera, had just left with their case of Book of Mormons and other materials to catch a bus for divisions.  It was only sprinkling then.  But then it poured.  They ran back for cover.

When it rains hard in Mexico the streets flood.  This is just a sample of what happens.  The covers actually lift off the manholes.  Not too pleasant when comes up from below.

So you think you need a truck to buy a ladder and take it home.  Think again.

I always love to see how the women carry their little ones.
