Three Kings Day is another holiday where there are some gifts exchanged and the tradition of eating Rosca and possibly drinking hot chocolate is celebrated. We stopped at the store on our way to the office this morning to buy a Rosca and also took the blender and some chocolate powder sent to us from the mother of Elder Cardenas to make a drink. He is from Tabasco and thinks it is not common in other parts of the country. With milk, powder and ice cubes it was delicious. It would have been more difficult to fix hot chocolate. Our assistants, Elder Falcon and Elder Cardenas, were first in line to enjoy.
Elder Furlong, our new materials secretary got the 'nino' in his slice of Rosca. Tradition says that you are responsible to provide food for all your family on a day in February if you get the 'nino'. We will not hold him to this tradition.
