Training in Tuxpan and Poza Rica

These are many of the wives of the priesthood leaders in the Tuxpan stake. Elder Morales, our Area 70 and his wonderful wife, Antonia, flew to Poza Rica to attend a couple of our zone conferences and also to do some training. While Elder Morales and Dad were training the priesthood leaders, Sister Morales had been sent with a message for the women from our general leaders in Salt Lake.
The next night was the same agenda with the Poza Rica stake leaders and their wives. The message that had been created was that the family was most important. They needed to find a balance in their lives between work, church callings and family. Some women feel that their husbands spend so much time at their church callings that the family feels neglected.
Finding balance doesn't just exist in Mexico but around the world. These are wonderful women who are also very busy trying to find that balance. I was happy to be able to share my feelings about this with them. In many places in the church there isn't the depth of years of leadership to give an example or direction or tradition of just how to do things. They are learning and growing just as we are. As we shared our feelings the bonds of love grew between us. We're all women just trying to do the best we can.
