Thanksgiving 2011

This is our last Thanksgiving here in Mexico and since the temple president and his wife went home to Arizona to witness the sealing of their son to his wife and actually perform the sealing, we decided to have the office elders over for Thanksgiving dinner.  They were all pretty excited and though there wasn't any football or snowmobiling, or games, there was turkey, stuffing, mashed potatoes (not russets so not as good), cranberry sauce, Grandma Call's cinnamon red apples, broccoli, spinach salad, homemade rolls, and pumpkin pie.
So for awhile they were in heaven until they had eaten so much that they needed to lay on the floor to feel better.  Of course, Dad told them they needed to finish all the pumpkin pie so they did.  They are so obedient.

Dad and Elder Larsen were discussing the activities of the next day when we would be delivering all the things we would be buying for the House of the Children that we held the "Carrera por la Familia" for.  We had the run for two reasons. To bring a good feeling in the community about the church, which it did; to bring in possible references, which it did; and to take all the money that came in from the registrations to buy things for the children that live in this house.  They are children that live there for various reasons like abuse or abandonment, or their parents are in jail, or just can't take care of them.
