After the staff meeting and releasing of Sister Hernandez we went to the airport to pick up an elder from Paraguay that was coming to our mission. When his plane arrived he was not on it. We checked with the airline desk and discovered that he was not to arrive tonight but tomorrow night. The American was due to come about 40 minutes later so we went down to the first floor (there are only 2 floors) and had a smoothie at Zumba's. Oh, it was so delicious. As we walked into the airport Dad said, " if this plane to postponed I'm going to need a Snickers". But we got a smoothie instead. By the way, the reason that Elder Cruz is not looking at the camera when I took this picture is that he is contacting a person waiting to get her smoothie. We've been teaching the importance of contacting everywhere you go and these assistants have taken it to heart.

Finally Elder Lara's plane arrived and the next day received his training and had time togo out with the missionaries whle we headed back out to the airport.

Tuesday night we went back to the airport and yes, the plane bringing Elder Villalba (from Paraguay) was late in coming. We didn't go for a Zumba or a Snickers. He is 23 years old and a convert of about 11 years. He will be a great asset to the mission. It was interesting to see that his luggage had been cut into by the airline for some reason. We are hoping they will give him money for the damage they did. His luggage was not locked.

After 2 days of training and feeding new missionaries and their trainers, the missionaries that are going home arrived at the mission home. Dad decided to interview them at our home while they weighed their bags and filled out papers. We couldn't go to the temple with them because it is closed for 2 weeks. What a shame. We love that time with them in the temple.
Front row: Elder Melchor (Puebla, MX), and Elder Ochoa (Culiacan, MX)
Back row: Elder Ruiz (Orem), Elder Stricklan (Rexburg), Elder Lundstrom (Tucson), Elder Teahan (Sandy), and Elder Swensen (Taylorsville). We will miss these elders so much. Many of them have been great leaders in the mission.
