In a couple of days Elder Botello will be leaving the mission. He stayed 30 days longer so that he could finish the twelve week study program that the church started for all new missionaries. He asked to stay as long as possible to finish this with Elder Gulbranson. At their zone conference he looked so great in his new suit. Remember that he and Elder Gulbranson's house caught on fire and they lost most of their clothes and other things. Elder Botello kept his two nametags that were in the house at the time. The one he's wearing is warped and the one in his hands........
If you can have favorites, he's one of them. He's from Tijuana and from his house he can watch the fireworks in San Diego on the 4th of July. He will be grateful for a new temple in his city in a couple of years. He couldn't cross the border to go to the San Diego Temple for his endowment before the mission. They had to travel for 12 hours to Hermosillo. We hope to see him again.

Ahhh....maybe you'll get to see him again someday...if he can get across the border. He looks happy. I like the ones that look happy.
