On to Tantoyuca

We left Huejutla after the youth conference and just wanted to show what you see on the highway sometimes.  Some of the people here live every day like it's camping.  These guys probably had gathered this wood to burn to cook their food.  We're on the 'highway' and they're riding on the top of the wood.

Another different thing here is that because everything is made out of cement there needs to be a support system that hold everything up and together while it dries.  Thus, the bamboo poles and the large rocks hanging down by ropes to keep it all together until it is strong enough to take it all away.

We took a few minutes to walk in the outdoor market in Tantoyuca.  This looks like a permanent one not a traveling one.

We found a decent hotel to stay in in Tantoyuca and outside there is this beautiful tree covered in red flowers.  The leaves haven't come out yet but the flowers are bright and beautiful.

This is common in Mexico.  A big gap between the wall and the edge of the air conditioner.  And this is the hotel not someone's house.  We've come to smile about it but look beyond it because we are so grateful for the cooler air.

This is the view out the back of the Hotel San Javier.  Yes, if you look closely there is a pen of pigs under the deck.  There was a huge one tied to the right post last night when we arrived that was grunting so loud that you could tell he was irritated. 

It looks like a great hotel on the outside and we are grateful for a clean place to stay while we're out and away from Tampico.
