A Very Special Visit

Elder DeHoyos and his wonderful wife came for a 4 day visit. He asked for 3 meetings with our missionaries that would allow them to meet all of them. The logistics were figured out and the 4 hours every missionary got to spend with them was incredible. They were all in their suits and looked amazing. We also had 3 different meetings in the evenings with most of the members of ward and stake councils. It was focused on missionary work. We are so grateful.
The DeHoyos are wonderful people. He actually served his mission in Hermosillo like Dad but he arrived in the mission in the Fall of the year that Dad left to come home. They did have the same mission president and had a lot of fun talking about the people and some of the missionaries they both knew. He is a member of the 1st Quorum of the Seventy and also a counselor in the Area Presidency in Mexico. We had hours to talk in the car and we appreciated their encouragement.
We also introduced them to root beer floats. He does like root beer but has rarely tasted it. But then we put ice cream in it. He was sold. I'm sure glad I found and bought everything that was on the shelve at the dollar store. It came in handy for our very special visitors. Now they will look for it in the Waldo's in Mexico City.
