Left to right: Elder Dea, Elder Mora, Elder Ngatuvai, and Elder Hernandez. About 10 days ago we got a call from the Bishop of Elder Hernandez. His father was gravely ill and was not expected to live much longer. After some phones calls, it was decided that he would go home for 3 or 4 days to see his father and lend support to his mother. There are circumstances which made it a good decision to go home. He was able to travel by bus to Mexico City and for 1 day be with his father who was unconscious. The next day he died. Elder Hernandez attended the funeral which happens the next day in Mexico and returned to the mission the day after. He was so very grateful that he had the opportunity to go and also very grateful to be back in the mission. These are his district brothers who waited to travel back by boat to his area the night he flew back to Tampico.
