Tampico Stake Programa Navideña

Tonight was the big program for the Tampico Stake.  We live in this stake.  It's not often that we are able to attend our own ward since there are so many others in the mission that we need to attend.  But I loved the big screen with the Salt Lake Temple and the lights that came down to introduce the program.  It felt like home.
They had a choir that sang most of the program but they also had some little ballerinas do a couple of dances from the Nutcracker Ballet.  So a "Cascanueces" is a nutcracker.  We knew you'd love to know that bit of trivia.

And here is the entourage of dancers.  The oldest one is actually pretty good the the little ones were just darling.

The next night we attended the Tampico ward program.  This is Elder Mullen and Elder Del Rio.  They helped with the program and wanted to talk more about the gospel after sharing of the story of the 3 Trees but the ballerinas came back.

But the story of the 3 Trees was adorable.  Each had their part to say.  We thought the trees were very clever.

And at the end of the story the little animals for the manger crawled in  and then Joseph and Mary and the Angel with the star.  It was wonderful.  The wooden box is, of course, the contribution from the 3rd tree for the manger.
